it’s another rainy day here. makes it much easier to stay inside and work – although i’m constantly tempted to cuddle under a cozy throw with a good book instead! (although right now i’m going through a dry spell with books – can’t seem to find one that grabs my attention – any recommendations?)
you won’t hear this very often from me but…monday can’t get here soon enough! the anticipation is killing me. i’m busy crossing my T’s and dotting my I’s and because I’m a bit crazy, going back and doing it again. as of monday, you won’t have to hear me go on and on about the store opening…it’ll finally BE open!
so i thought i’d share some grey + yellow inspiration…my fave color combo and the colors for the one sydney road store. (you guessed it…you’ll see lots of grey + yellow goodies in the store!)
have a wonderful halloween weekend everyone! are you dressing up? passing out candy?

the colors of this post made my heart so happy! love that “hills” card & the bicycle photograph! i wish i could pull off those mustard tights….not sure my thighs would let me
can’t wait to see the shop, piper!
I adore the yellow and grey combination. And everything I’ve seen from your shop lately makes me smile. I still think I need more yellow in my life…maybe shoes or a belt or a scarf? As for a book, try The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing; it’s short (and actually short stories) but I really liked the dialogue. Happy weekend! Oh, I can’t wait for Monday now!!
Pretty! Have you read “Let the great world spin” by Colum McCann? I really enjoyed that one. For a fast read, how about “One Day” by David Nicholls – it definitely grabs you. One of my other faves of the year is the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. Great book!

We had a fun and very active Halloween weekend. Three parties.. one of which we hosted here. It was great and the kids had a blast (I did too!). I didn’t dress up, but the kids did and they looked great. The ‘glucose intoxication’ was total..! Glad we are back to normal routines today!
Hugs and good luck for tomorrow!!
xx Charlotta
P.S. How much are the ‘EAT’ serviettes? I’d love to buy some!
PS> Loving the yellow tights!!
I need to work my legs to a skinnier and sleeker state so that I too can wear some..!! How fabulous. A real booster on a gloomy Autumn morning don’t you think!?!
xx C
So excited to see!!!
And there’s a slight chance you haven’t been able to settle into a book, because your mind’s been a scatter. Once you settle into business, it should be better…
And when you do, might I suggest, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norell {for a hint of magic}, any P.G. Wodehouse {for a hint of comdy}, and The Thirteenth Tale {for a hint of fantasy}
