happy new years everyone!! here we go 2011!! my favorite thing about a new year is the feeling of a fresh start. i’m not much for resolutions since within 2 weeks i usually break them anyway! i’m more about the idea of a fresh start or a clean slate for the new year…it gives me a chance to try and figure everything out again (basically, everything resets to zero which feels very freeing!) confession time – when the new year comes around, i love books like simple abundance that give you ideas for each day or week – but again i think every year i only get through the first month!
so here’s to a fresh start in 2011! for me that fresh start includes de-cluttering and getting my office in shape (yes, sadly i’m still working on it!!) and trying to live a less rigid, more simplified life!
how about you guys – do you come up with resolutions or are you anti-resolution?

I like to start my resolutions on my birthday, but since life has changed since then, this year, I’ll be pro-resolution. I’m not going to write any lists though; I’m going to simply put what I want to do on my to-do list and make concrete steps toward all of my goals.
And how I wish I could help you organize you office! That’s such a natural high for me.

im not anti-resolutions but i already have a list of goals to tackle already (30 things to do before im 30) so i just try to tackle those!

I like to think of simple goals rather than resolutions otherwise I tend to get super negative and just like you said give up after the first month.
My office is my first organisational priority of the year too – that is if I can get off tumblr/pinterest looking at beautiful offices!!

i’m not anti-resolutions, but i’m not a huge fan either. i guess it’s because i set goals all year around, and january is no different.

hi piper!! yay for a fresh start!! a new year is definitely a great time to do it~! i did create some new years resolutions on my blog and the one i think that i want to do most (since i will prob break many anyways) is achieving balance in life! remember how i told you i never sleep~!!! i should get more sleep~!! haha!! happy new year love!!
The only major resolution this year is to make my photog gig a legitimate business – starting with a Tax ID! I’m sure remember how that felt last year

I’m right there with ya! Trying to get my office – both at home and at work – back in order. It’s a never ending task as paper seems to be in abundance in design. Cheers for a great new year!
