i happened to wake up early this morning – as in, early enough to catch the sunrise. i don’t know about you, but i rarely have time to appreciate a beautiful sunrise – this is something usually reserved for vacation when you have nothing more pressing to do than watch the sunrise (and with full knowledge that you can take a nap later!)
time to rise + shine!

The day you post about the sunshine is the one day we have rain here in San Diego. Most days, I get to watch it come up slowly. I love starting the day like that.
This only happens to me when I’m traveling and jetlagged (though Mardy likes to wake up to watch it often – crazy). But I really do love watching the sunrise because the sky does look different (from a sunset!). I like that it just gets brighter and you can see the light brushing along the scenery. It was so cool to watch the sunrise in Cancun, because it was along the beach. Being on the West Coast, I’ve only ever seen sunsets on the beach, so it was a really cool change
I am totally going to have that song stuck in my head all day, “here comes the sun doddle doddle here comes the sun and I sayyyyy”
I rarely make a sunrise – but when I do I totally appreciate it too!
Good for you girly…I’ve been getting up really early and seeing the same thing, it’s really so beautiful! On valentine’s Day it was bright red and the outside was actually red too! xo
I had the same experience the other day too…being able to catch the sunrise! Especially whenit’s a beautiful sunny day, it can totally set the tone for the rest of the day
Beautiful post! I’m not sure I’ve ever woken up early enough to watch the sunrise (to actually sit and watch it without getting ready for school), more like I stay awake long enough to, ha!
