happy friday everyone! love is in the air with valentine’s day coming up. hubby and i don’t usually make a big deal of valentine’s (it’s more of a hallmark kind of day, isn’t it?!). but it is a nice excuse to go out for dinner & a movie! (hubby has made a fatal error – he’s given me carte blanche on the movie – i don’t think he realizes what he’s in for!!)
so fess up…do you celebrate valentine’s or swear it off? either way, here’s to a lucky weekend !

Hehe, how great that YOU get to pick the movie!
My bf and I celebrated it the first year we went out, but it was so ridiculous (we went to Vegas, and there were tons of people, expensive menus, etc.) that we decided from now on, we’d just celebrate it a week early/late. It is, after all, just a day, so we decided we could pick a random day ourselves to celebrate it together
Have a fun date night celebrating!
We usually SAY we’re swearig off V-day celebrations but both of us always give in a buy presents and usually have a nice dinner.
We do a little celebrating but I mostly love this day bc I can indulge in chocolate eating with a bit less guilt.. only because someone else gave it to me!
sounds like your plans will be great. we like to cook at home on v-day and avoid the madness. i love that wine you showed – i have seen those before and think they are so clever!
Holidays like this may be “hallmark” type of days, & therefore be drowned away in red & hearts & date nights galore… but I always like to look at these days as an excuse to show your friends & family you are thinking about them & create some cute little gifts/cards, making it more about thoughtfulness rather than just a date night with your significant other (even though that part is fun, too)!
Oh, Piper. I was totally ok on chocolate cravings until I saw this post. I need to go out and find some really good chocolate. After all, it’s Valentine’s Day and my goal this year was to love myself.
I forgot to say: Have a fantastic Valentine’s weekend!!
Nothing too special for us for Valentine’s Day. Just dinner.
Have a great weekend!
that’s a perfect goal – and you know i’m on board when it comes to chocolate!!
have a wonderful dinner
lindsey, that’s so true – love that thought.
sarah – ha, same here!
maya – i’m always down for a day that encourages eating chocolate
carolyn – enjoy your day!!
we’re the same – it’s just another day – just an excuse to have a nice dinner
We don’t make a huge deal over it, but we do try to either make a nice dinner at home or go out for something nice.
