so when we last left off, our color combo was sand + black…some neutral goodness. now we’re taking black and adding a splash of red to it for some classic style. my mom always loved this combo – and it must have rubbed off on me because when i really started getting into design as a kid , guess what color i painted my bedroom then? yeppers…red! (this was right after my lavendar phase…shudder!)

Love the color combo…. Red lacquer chairs r to die for…
Now that we’re house hunting, we’ve seen some black, white and red combos that look so dated. But I love the way they’ve been implimented here!
It is hard… black, white and red can look dated but if put together well it just looks perfect! like your first photo! it is fun to change color up now and then. I would love to have an all white and black home but I just would not be able to keep it that way. so many pretty colors out there!
agreed! i think it can have a tendency to look dated – but i loved these versions of this combo!
