welcome to the first in a monthly collaboration between me, and kellie from 74 lime lane. with mother’s day just around the corner, we are kicking off with some ideas for mum, or perhaps yourself.

Hi again, Kellie from 74 Lime Lane with some more gift ideas for mother’s day, this time for the book and movie lovers in your life. The good thing about bookworms and film fanatics is there is always something you can buy for them, the new release from their favourite author, movie tickets, or their favourite film on DVD. Or perhaps something a little different like these.

came across these cool keys by stat key company.  i love the modern design of each key. no more fumbling around in the dark for the correct key (i swear, our keys all look the same when it’s freezing out and i’m trying to get inside!).  and you can even have custom keys made!

{cutest socks}

anyone who knows me, knows that i have a HUGE sweet tooth.  so when i came across lilly handmade chocolates, it was love at first bite.  they’re pretty to look at…but trust me, they’re so yummy they’ll be gone before you know it!

besides drool-worthy chocolates, lilly also has a fantastic selection of specialty wine + beer in the store which is located in historic tremont (ohio).  if you can’t visit the store, you can get pairing suggestions on the website.  chocolates are available to order online.

below are some of my favorites…

{kit cosmetics}

kit again

my husband and i took a trip of a lifetime this year to australia.  it’s so hard to even put into words how incredible it was (and it was our first stamp in our passports!).  i’m putting together a post of stories + pictures from our trip so stay tuned…!

while in sydney i came across these fun beauty products from kit cosmetics (i’m seriously like a magnet when it comes to cosmetics with cool packaging…i have no control over being pulled towards them!!).  it was nearly impossible for me to choose what to bring home…everything smells so good.

and how fun is this?  kit cosmetics has teamed up with dulux paint to create this limited edition dulux nail polish collection.  colors were taken from dulux’s 2010/2011 trend forecast and include these 4 colors:  hot calypso, blue surf, kiss, exotic flower.

One of my favorite pastimes is reading…there is nothing better than curling up on the sofa with a brand new novel on a wintry, snowy day.  Although my favorite books tend to be fiction, I usually read current fiction rather than classics.  However these clothbound Penguin Classics books beautifully designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith make me want to reread Jane Eyre and finally read Wuthering Heights!

What are your favorite classics?  Do you like receiving/givings books as gifts?
