Hi everyone, Kellie here, from 74 Lime Lane, guesting posting from the chilly confines of the southern hemisphere while Piper enjoys a summer vacation.
While Piper was away, I thought I would hijack her blog to highlight some of the great Australian talent that you can find at the click of your mouse. Piper is a huge fan of our sunburnt plains, so I’m sure she won’t mind.
Being at the other end of the world, so to speak, Aussie indie designers can often find it hard, making their way in the online marketplace. Currency, and shipping costs, for starters, are often against us, which is why I want to give some of my favourites a bit of a shout out across the seas.
[From left to right, starting in the top left: Lots of cute paper goodies by Helena at Little Mo and Friends; artworks and jewellery by Deb at Two Cheeky Monkeys; beautiful art by Belinda of gretchenmist; fantastic jewellery designs by Jess at Epheriell; make your bunting panels and hand screen-printed goodness by Nic at Yardage Design; lovely illustrations and goodies by Penny at Pocket Carnival]
This is by far a very small list. You can find more Australian designers and artists on madeit ~ a dedicated Australian handmade market place ~ and by searching for the DUST team on Etsy or at the DUST website. You can also see some Australian creatives I have featured in my weekly lime light section here.
