i’ve always had a dream of living in a loft space. i had a chat recently with our neighbor who happened to live in a loft – and reminded me that the grass isn’t always greener! while i’ve dreamt of open spaces, he dreamt of walls!
i just spotted this awesome loft in the latest anthology issue – it’s the home to the couple behind something’s hiding in here – love, love the way they incorporate trinkets full of personality around their home!

we’re swimming in photos! we spent the weekend decluttering the basement (this is mostly because to get to our laundry room, you’d have to find the one pathway through boxes & mayhem) we ended up bringing up boxes & boxes of photos – many of them loose – and makes me wonder what i should do with them all.
i always love how displaying photos like this looks – in theory. the question i always have…would it be cool in real life or just look like a crazy person’s manifesto?

you guys know i love a good idea! well, ally at from the right bank came up with a great one!! you can “shop her studio” where she’ll have a rotating selection of original art & one-of-a-kind antiques. i know what i’ve got my eye on (the palm tree prints!) how about you – what catches your eye?
i’m too excited to hold it in anymore (hmm, maybe that’s not the best way to put that!!)…i’ve been hinting at a big EVENT kicking off on 11/1 at OSR. well, ok, so i’m not spilling the beans just yet
but the photo below is a little tease…
sign up for the OSR newsletter – they’ll be getting all the goodies & info first!

just how i like my rooms! although come to think of it, i tend to like dark rooms too…hmm, no wonder i have a hard time making a decision on paint colors!

i remember when i first came across this bedroom (in domino, i think) – it was serious love at first sight. it’s uber-amazing jenna lyons’ bedroom (the gal that turned j crew into awesome-sauce). and the rest of the house isn’t bad either
i’ve always wanted to try painting a room black…haven’t done it yet. have you guys ever thought of doing that (or have you done it)? i think it would be fun to do it in chalkboard paint and make your own art! of course, mine would be more stick figures & doodles than what is technically called “art”!
happy friday everyone!

so i noticed that my pinterest boards are starting to pile up with images of red chairs. apparently i got a fever and the only cure is more red chairs!!

hi all! can you believe it’s almost july?! where did june go? the summer needs to slow down!
today’s another color palette for some inspiration and you know i’m loving it already…it’s got yellow in it!! last week we left off with navy blue + mustard yellow…this week it’s all about yellow + turquoise. such a great color combination for summer – bright, colorful - just makes me feel lighter! could you see using these colors as accents or full on room colors?
