{cool, modern meets vintage storage}

i’m feeling inspired lately by cool, vintage storage.  i love when i see someone using old library card catalogs or vintage cabinets – they always look very stylish to me and somehow it still feels modern.  i’m pretty much obsessed with the above dressing room – can you imagine getting ready everyone morning in that room?!

i love mixing old with new…it gives a room such a personalized and warm feeling.  since i tend though to gravitate towards modern pieces, it’s exciting when i come across vintage items that have a modern feel.  which is why i instantly fell in love with davidmetnicole

this sydney, australia based retail store (i’m so sad we didn’t come across it while we were there!!) sources beautiful vintage (& new) pieces from around the world.  the leather chair is now on my “wish list”!

{boutique love – weego home}

i’m such a fan of weego home – one of these days i hope to actually visit the store – thankfully until then i have the internet!  they have a beautiful mix of furniture and accessories that are contemporary yet not stark or minimalistic.  they believe in use of color and patterns and i just love their design sensibility.

some of my current faves (read “wish list”!) from the store:
