{find + seek…alphabet}

with the alphabet walk blog hop going on this week, i had to continue the fun!!  so for this week’s cool etsy finds, it’s all about the alphabet.  of course, this also just feeds my love for typography (grin)

and don’t forget to check out today’s blogs who did letters k- o on the alphabet walk blog hop! i’m amazed at how creative everyone is!!

{christopher jagmin plates}

how fun are these typography inspired dinner plates designed by christopher jagmin?  i love when designs like these can be cool + modern but classic all at the same time.  you could even use them as place settings!

plates can be purchased at dfdboutique.com

{marie claire maison}

i just came across this bedroom via marie claire maison’s website and had to post because i love the use of typography…the big red r looks so fantastic against the chocolate brown wall (as does the cool vintage cabinet…is it an old library card catalog cabinet?).  i think the only thing i wouldn’t like are the brooms hanging up…too much of a reminder of my absolute least favorite activity in the whole world….cleaning!

{vintage luggage labels}

vintage stamps

my husband got me this great vintage luggage label for christmas (center image).  he had been looking for something to get me from kangaroo island which is one of the places we visited while in australia this year (and was one of our favorite parts of our trip…even the rain while we were there didn’t dampen our fun!).

he stumbled upon this cool vintage luggage label on ebay and, needless to say, it was by far my favorite gift!  i love the modern designs and typography on these labels – how fun to have travelled back in the early 1900′s, with your steamer trunk, amassing these cool labels.

of course now we’re on the hunt for more cool luggage labels from australia – if you find any, let me know!

you can also check out this website which has  a great selection of luggage labels to view or purchase.

{graphic design prints}

Do you ever notice that when you find yourself drawn to something you keep coming across it again and again no matter where you look?  That’s what’s happened to me with graphic design prints.  I love the combination of typography, design & color – and it’s a great (and affordable!) way to add color to your space.

Wouldn’t these city neighborhood posters from Ork Design make a great gift?  Current cities include Boston, Brooklyn, Chicago, Great Lakes, Los Angeles, Manhattan, NYC, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto & Washington DC.

This print from Bold & Noble is made from 100% recycled material.  It also comes in pink.

One of my favorite prints (and I think everyone else’s since I see it everywhere!)  This print from Keep Calm Gallery is a reproduction of a poster produced by the British government during World War II.

this print from brainstorm print & design has such a great 1970′s retro vibe.  even their website is fun to look at!

orange beautiful
