{security}
 
shopping at second smallest house, llc (dba one sydney road) is designed to be as safe + secure as is reasonably possible. secure socket layer (SSL) technology is used to encrypt all order information, including credit card data, address information, and account details, that you provide for your internet purchases on www.onesydneyroad.com. please make sure you see https:// in the address bar of your browser when you checkout - the 's' stands for 'secure'. our security certificate can be viewed by double-clicking the little padlock icon at the bottom of your browser window.  if you do not feel comfortable making your purchase with a credit card online, please contact us via email at info@onesydneyroad.com and include your order information, your address, and a phone number where you can be reached. we will contact you and process your credit card order over the phone.

{packing material}

to minimize environmental impact, we often re-use boxes and packing materials from our suppliers. we do not buy plastic/styrofoam materials but do re-use those shipped to us. 
 
{shipping}

we're happy to ship anywhere you are!
 
all orders are usually processed and shipped out within 2 to 3 business days, depending on product availability. orders placed on weekends will be processed the following business day. (for example, if order is placed on a saturday or sunday, order will be processed on monday; if monday is a holiday, order will be processed on tuesday.)
 
one sydney road is not responsible for service transit time. transit times are provided by the carrier (USPS or UPS) and may vary with package origin and destination, particularly during peak periods. all orders are shipped via UPS or USPS. all shipping costs are determined by the weight of the items purchased, the method of shipping chosen and the destination address.
 
UPS does not ship to p.o. boxes. please include an alternate address for shipment in such case.
 
{international shipping}
 
please note that one sydney road is not responsible for any international custom and duty fees, taxes or any delays due to customs. these fees are in addition to, and not included in, the cost of shipping. as a business we are obligated to declare all items as merchandise. we are not able to mark items as "gift". additionally, there may be some countries that one sydney road may not be able to ship to at all.  please contact us directly for any questions regarding international shipping.
 
{shipping notifications}

customers will receive notification via email from either USPS or UPS, depending on the shipping method selected, when domestic shipping labels are prepared and printed. if you do not receive this email within 2-4 days after placing your order, make sure to check your junk/spam mail folder or contact us. your delivery confirmation number (from USPS) or your tracking number (from UPS) will be included in the email.

please note that the USPS delivery confirmation service is not an actual tracking number, but rather simply shows when the label was printed and when the item was delivered at its final destination. we therefore strongly urge all customers to carefully consider their shipping option in relation to the final destination. UPS with signature confirmation is strongly recommended for larger, urban areas.

{transit + insurance} 
once an order is given to a shipping carrier, the package then becomes that carrier's responsibility and one sydney road is no longer liable.  please note that all orders shipped via UPS automatically include up to $100 insurance. if you would like to include insurance on a USPS order, or increase the amount of insurance on a UPS shipment, please contact us directly.
{order cancellation / incorrect information}

if you would like to cancel your order or if you mistakenly provided us with incorrect address information, please contact us immediately. if your order has not shipped, then it’s no problem, we can correct it immediately.

{returns}

we love our products and hope you will too! 
 
in the event that you are not satisfied with your purchase, (which we hope is not the case!), please email us at info@onesydneyroad.com for instructions on how to return or exchange your item. we’ll gladly provide an exchange or store credit for the purchase price for any unused and unopened merchandise in new condition returned within 30 days of the order’s original ship date. we reserve the right to decline any return if we determine the item shows signs that it has been used. at this time, we do not provide refunds or cash back. to make a return, please email or phone us with your order information so that we can give you a return authorization number. all goods must be in their original, unused condition, including original tags and packaging. returns must be well packed and we strongly encourage you to purchase insurance for return shipments, as well as delivery confirmation. we cannot be responsible for return shipments that are lost in transit. original shipping fees are non-refundable and all costs for return shipment are the responsibility of the customer. if returned merchandise is not received within 30 days from the original ship date, we reserve the right to decline your credit or exchange.

sale items are non-returnable. jewelry is non-returnable.  vintage items are non-returnable.

{damages/defective merchandise}

please check your package as soon as it arrives and let us know immediately if something has arrived damaged. damage/defect claims must be made within 2 days of receipt of goods. no claims can be made after 48 hours. if for some reason there is damage or defect to your item, please email or phone us immediately.

{vintage items}

each item in the “vintage” section is one of a kind. all sales on vintage items are final and non-returnable (we do not offer returns, credits or exchanges on these items).  additionally, please note that there is an understanding that these products will typically have imperfections that give the item charm and the “vintage” feel. if you have any questions regarding an item, please contact us. 

{gift purchases}

if an item is purchased to be given as a gift, please indicate that a gift receipt is needed in the "comments" box at checkout. we will include a separate gift receipt in your package for you to give to the recipient. if you are shipping directly to the recipient, please let us know and we will include the gift receipt in the package. items purchased as gifts have the same return policy as above.

{sales tax}

one sydney road is based out of ohio. we collect ohio sales tax on all orders shipped to addresses in ohio. residents in other states are responsible for complying with local or state tax requirements or laws. 

{privacy}

one sydney road respects you and will never share your information with anyone under any circumstances. this includes our mailing list, as well as, your email and any personal information. 

{operations}
